AL JOURGENSEN Says MINISTRY Festival Tour Postponed, New LARD CD To Feature ANTHRAX Members

July 22, 2003

MINISTRY have postponed their previously announced plans to launch a month-long "festival" tour with REVOLTING COCKS, LARD and OGHR (featuring SKINNY PUPPY frontman Nivek Ogre, a.k.a. Kevin Ogilvie),originally scheduled to kick off in late July. "Not everybody would have been able to make it for the whole tour and I didn't want to do it unless the whole COCKS clan could make it," MINISTRY mainman Al Jourgensen writes on the band's web site.

In other news, Jourgensen has revealed that MINISTRY will be returning to the studio starting around August 15 to begin work on a new CD, tentatively due in late 2004 through Sanctuary Records. Also planned for release sometime next year are new albums from REVOLTING COCKS and LARD. The latter project will be "featuring a somewhat new band," according to Al. "Scotty [Ian] and Charlie [Benante] from ANTHRAX will join [ex-DEAD KENNEDYS frontman] Jello [Biafra] myself and Paul."

MINISTRY's latest CD, "Animositisomina", was released in February through Sanctuary Records.
